psychedelic- cars get violated!!!

In Mexico, along the U.S. and Mexican border 10% more of cars are being searched for smuggling illegal stuff.
Is this impending on people civil liberties? or is this anesscary action by the govermnent?

nope, check them all I say. Better safe than sorry. If you have nothing to hide, then you shouldn't mind opening up the trunk.

i believe it is right to seach cars if there is a reason for doing so, however if we are impending on people's rights then it is unfair to those whom are being searched

Read the article people: Its cars coming from the u.s. into mexico to prevent illegal arms smuggling. And its 10% of vehicles.

In that case, it is only legal in Mexico for law enforcement and military personnel to own guns. And a large amount of weapons are being obtained from the U.S. In this case, I think its perfectly fair, if people from the United States are contributing to the unstable issues of Mexico. People doing bringing arms in should be stopped.

i really don't think it's unfair. i mean if your singling out people based on what they look like or how they talk then yeah. but if you're doing random searches or searching every car, no. it's totally okay. you shouldn't have something to be afraid of or intimidated by and if you are hiding/smuggling something then don't do or be extra clever.

i totally agree with you but if we went by that then we wouldnt have search warrents for everything and cops could just stop us for no reason a go through our car, but as far as if its unfair or not i think its a little unfair..

"Mexico's government plans to search 10 percent of all vehicles entering the country from the United States in an effort to curb arms smuggling, the attorney general said."

Cars going into Mexico are being searched. Which is fine with me.

I think its ironic that MEXICO wants to search US.
But by the same token, i think its perfectly fine if thats what they want to do. I mean, we do it to them.
Although there is a significant advantage for them coming here rather than us going there...
