Well I don't know much about the Australian ecosystem, so people who know more about that should be consulted before people start slaughtering mass amounts of Kangaroos.

aren't kangaroo's on the endangered list? well anyways it seems to me that in Australia they would have more cows and sheep rather then kangaroo's, so i believe that the amount methane gas Kangaroos produce doesn't matter. the reall fact here is that kangaroo meat is low in fat and high in protein, and is a delicacy. Ultimatly i eblieve we should eat more kangaroo meat

This seems pretty outragous. Even if a kangaroo releases more methane than a cow, there are so many more cows and sheep on the planet than kangaroos that they produce way more methane gas than all the kangaroos do.

well I don't know, i think eating Kangaroos is the cultural norm over there. and its healthier. hmm, i don't think i could ever eat the poor animal but if its what they're down with over there then go for it.

Although this is an interesting idea, I think it would be a better idea to convert their efforts into making a gas free automobile.

Not studying which animal releases the most methane.
I mean, these scientists can put their minds to something a bit more practical, right?

Hahah this is absurd. There are plenty of other things that cause the green house, and I highly doubt people switching to kangaroo meat will change it. Seriously? We should focus on changing our cars or something, not changing our meat.

Well kangaroo leather makes fantastic soccer cleats, but I can't imagine eating them. I don't believe it would the environment to eat more of these. It may look good on paper, but as we've seen before, there are tons of unexpected effects on the environment from schemes such as these.

i mean they really should be concerned about aerosols and other stuff with chemicals that also have a great influence on the whole greenhouse effect; in this case animals, who were there even before the problem occured, don't poison the atmosphere that much...it's just seems so weird, this idea about kangaroos weirdface

Another factor involved in this discussion is the amount of grain, grass, etc. that is used to raise cattle for meat and/or the amount of fuel used to ship beef into island nations....perhaps kangaroo consume fewer resources to grow to full size?

Kangaroo(s?) are cute, but allegedly pretty mean-tempered. Though anything that can balance on its tail in order to free up its feet to kick an opponent might deserve a shot to stay off of your dinner plate (or maybe is best able to hold its own in a fair fight not to be caught!)

ehh im not so sure about eating roo's... kinda gross.. and we would have to monitor what they eat and stuff... idk.. just sounds pretty gross to me..

Kangaroo's don't have enough meat to replace cattle as a main source of meat, but that really doesn't matter. I don't think the solution to global warming is killing off more animals, especially when about 21% of mammal species are endangered. Instead we should be focusing on cleaner energy and reducing our carbon emissions.

The thought of eating a kangaroo is just plain weird to me....I wouldn't do it, but if someone else wants to go for it.
