On the recent cover of Playboy in Mexico, there was a girl draped in a white robe. This offended many people because they felt it was depicting the "Virgin of Guadalupe." Playboy had to issue an apology to all of Mexico and all their Playboy readers.
Do you think thos was really meant to be offensive?? and would the people who are actually religious be reading Playboy?? or should they just mind their own business?
umm being from a mexican background, i can understand how they were offended, they take their religion very seriously and are very in to it. As far as that goes with playboy, just because they are looking at it doesnt mean that the people cannot be religious
Ha I agree with Kristen. "We are sooo religious....OOOH naked pictures...." I mean really? This is ridiculous. I think if a religious person is looking at pornography, they should examine the fact that they are doing that before they freak out about saintly depictions.
i don't think playboy should apologize. They purposively produce their magazine towards those who aren't somewhat religious obviously, because think about it, if the playboy company started focusing to sell porno magazines to priests, i am sure they would make very little profit. So with this, it is obvious that they did not mean to be offensive.
And because of this, i don't think they should apologize.
If you voice your complaint about the magazine cover, it's just confessing to the world about it.
