As you may have heard by now, our school as made it punishable to wear any Los Angeles Dodgers apparel at school, as well as Pittsburgh Pirates apparel.
What are your thoughts on this topic? Is it a fair assertion of the school's power?
ha thats really stupid. the yorba linda gangsters are going to be upset. i really dont care about the dress code and i think it's redonk that anyone gives a thought about it. it's just school.
hahah i personally think its kinda ridiculous, and believe that the situation may be being a bit over blown, at the same time im not exactly sure of the schools exact reasoning

I think this is so ridiculous!! just because some people involved in gangs got into a fight and were wearing this stuff doesnt mean anyone wearing this is a gang member... my boyfriend wears LA hats all the time, and he is FAAAAR from gang related. I also heard they don't want us wearing hollister tops now??? i think the school is taking this way too far....
LAME!!!!!!!! even though i don't like the dogders and don't care either way bout the pirates i don't think its fair for the school to have a unreasonable say in the way we express ourself. i know a kid who dresses with SRH and long black socks and he's not at aall a white supremisist. and i know people who love the dogders and are not gang involved. the district is totally profiling and that's not right.

i do see how they have the authority to make that rule and its fine but i wish they would reconsider it. just because gangs wear it doesnt mean, and they should definitely know this, that we are wearing it just because we support that gang. its ridiculous. my chemistry teacher loves the dodgers so now she cant wear the shirt anymore to support her team? oh yeah cause shes definitely a gang banger.
My biggest concern is that this isn't the end. It's going to get to the point where we will have to wear uniforms. Thank goodness I'm graduating in June.

yes, not to be racist, but you know if chris was of a different race, he would probably be up in the office getting a detention or saturday.... but they cant say in the dress code- only certain races cannot wear that certain attire.. its sooo ridiculous
why is it that whenever anyone says anything about about a different race other than white, its racism?? but its never racism if someone says something specific about white people??
This is totally stupid and so far nobody cares Im wearing an LA hat right now and none of my teachers did anything. i bet next year there are going to be uniforms good thing well be graduating.
they shouldn't ban the clothing, but definitely should keep an eye on those who match both the attire and racial profile.
