Golden Globing??

In entertainment news, the GOLDEN GLOBES, kickoff of red carpet season, are coming up this Sunday...pop your popcorn and pull up your couch to check out crazy outfits and fake smiles of nonwinners :)  (I LOVE awards shows, cheesy though they may be...once upon a time in my life, I actually used to go to movies that weren't animated, and boy was that great :) ).

Anyway, you can get the full list of nominees here:
http://www.eonline.com/uberblog/b72803_complete_list_of_nominations_2009.html

but I'm curious, at least, as to your picks for best pictures and best TV shows, and why you think they'll win (feel free to include more picks if you want!!), since I'm betting you've seen lots more of the nominated films than I have (Frost/Nixon was the one and only movie for grownups that I saw last year...and it was fantastic, I might add...I'm really hoping to get to Slumdog Millionaire before the Oscars, but we'll see).

I DO watch a lot of TV (I heart TiVo), and I'm thinking MadMen might win for Drama (thought it's hard to bet against HBO), and I'm rooting for The Office, of course, for Comedy :)

BEST MOTION PICTURE, DRAMA

  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
  • Frost/Nixon
  • The Reader
  • Revolutionary Road
  • Slumdog Millionaire

BEST MOTION PICTURE, COMEDY

  • Burn After Reading
  • Happy-Go-Lucky
  • In Bruges
  • Mamma Mia!
  • Vicky Cristina Barcelona

TELEVISION SERIES, DRAMA

  • Dexter
  • House
  • In Treatment
  • Mad Men
  • True Blood

TELEVISION SERIES, COMEDY OR MUSICAL

  • 30 Rock
  • Californication
  • Entourage
  • The Office
  • Weeds

Burn After Reading was hilarious.
And The Office deserves to win best tv comedy.
I don't don't know about the other categories.
