i believe that if there is a significant concern that his blackberry could lead to a leak in information just pertaining to the president, then he should hand it over. As bad and unconstituional as that may sound, its probably in his best intrest, and the security of the nations best intrest. those things are very easily hacked and information is vulnerable

with new technology people especially the president must be carefull, however i don't believe that one day when the president answers the phone an earshattering noise will be recieved making the president deaf. With all the technology today it should be possible to make the president his own personal blackberry. All though there should be percautions taken, i think the president is just like every other person with their addiction to the new advances in technology and shouldn't have to give it up.

i dont see the problem in him keeping his phone
as long as hes mindful of what he writes in it
i dont think there would be a problem

i seriously doubt a text message would lead to a matter of national security

at the same time i can see where this would make sense, but in the circumstance that something is leaked, its an extra liability and it only takes one time to start a mess of problems

good point
this is a sort of sitaution where we should be safe rather than sorry

but i would like to think the secret service could come up with a compromise such as a personalized secure blackberry

then again
the secret service cannot even protect the president against a man throwing a pair of shoes........

exactly if the phone poses any risk at all of a leak or any security issues to the president or nation its not worth allowing him to keep the phone, they are too easily hacked

why doesn't he just use a computer, and deal with not being connected to the world when he isnt near one?

As long as he doesn't email anything about national security on his phone it should be fine. But I don't understand the whole cell phone craze. I think the people who get knew phones every month are just stupid.
