Paid Vacation (Debate!)

Position: Island caretaker. Duties: Lazing around Australia's Great Barrier Reef for six months. Salary: 150,000 Australian dollars ($100,000).
This is part of Australia's $1.7 million campaign to boost tourism in Australia.
In exchange for the plush salary, free accommodation in an oceanfront villa and airfare from the winner's home country, the "employee" will be required to stroll the island's white sand beaches, snorkel, maybe take a dip in the pool and post photos and videos of his or her experiences on a weekly blog.
The "job" would start July 1st

What are your thoughts about this? Would you take this job and put school on hold? Does this seem like it will be as effective as they hope?

wow

does the article refer to any job requirements?
such as a ridiculous amount of education in environmental caretaking?

its just this is too good to be true
i mean everyone in their country and then some will want tthis job
its just a little unrealistic

oh i would definetly take this job
however i dont exactly see how this will boost tourism

Increased publicity=more tourism. Look it's working already!

I would definitely take this job! and also you should never under estimate the power of publicity on the internet... posting a blog each week doing recreation would definitely bring attention to Australia
