Life Imitates the Three Stooges: In January, inmates Regan Reti, 20, and Tiranara White, 21, who had been booked separately for different crimes on New Zealand's North Island and were handcuffed together for security at Hastings District Court, dashed out of the building and ran for their freedom. However, when they encountered a streetlamp in front of the courthouse, one man went to the right of it and the other to the left, and they slammed into each other, allowing jailers to catch up and re-arrest them. i think they were to worried about getting away that they werent thinking straight so thats why they crashed and got re-arrested

Worst get-away: You esccape through the sewage by crawling for 10 miles in what no one ever wants to know only to come up through the Justice League's pipelines in the middle of a super justice meeting about finding you.

Why did they even try?  There was obviously some miscommunication there.
