NEW ORLEANS - A man is suing the New Orleans Police Department, claiming he was harassed by an officer who threatened to arrest him for wearing a black pinstriped skirt to municipal court.

Jeremy Don Kerr is asking for $1 in damages, a ruling that his rights were violated, and an order against barring access to public facilities because of gender stereotyping.

Kerr filed the civil-rights lawsuit last month. He said he finds skirts more comfortable than pants, and wears them with button-down Oxfords or T-shirts.

And he said women love it.

free country right guys??? what do you think? were his rights being violated?

ok maybe he shouldnt of dressed like that to court cuz people will be like wats wrong with this guy- but hey if he wants to wear a skirt then let him i dont see anything wrong with it its his reputation not ours

haha who cares if he wants to wear a skirt. hes not harming anyone. alot of men wear skirts in scotland and stuff like that. as long as he doesnt wear a short skirt to where his butt cheeks hang out then its all goood. haha

well i dont comprehend why he wants to wear womens clothes. but i'm a firm believer in doing what makes one happy.if you like to murder people i dont even care, just do what makes you happy. i think that male-dominant, rule crazy, machismo cop should go stick it.

i dont see the reason why people would have a problem with it. Its not against the law. Personally i would think its funny. He should be able to wear whatever he wants.
