VIENNA Former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke has come to Austria after being ordered to leave the Czech Republic.

Duke's Klan past and suspicions that he questioned the existence of the Holocaust caused Czech authorities to cancel his lectures in Prague and Brno. Czech police briefly detained him before asking him to leave last month.

Austria's Interior Ministry said Wednesday that he arrived in April and is staying in Salzburg.

As an American citizen, Duke may legally stay in Austria for up to 90 days at one stretch.

What are your thoughts on his expulsion? Was it necessary?

Every nation has the right to grant someone access or to deny someone access to their country.  The Czech Republic is currently holders of the EU presidency, I can't say it would reflect good if they allowed someone like this to speak in their country. Expulsion necessary or not, it was justified.

yeah, it does. because tolerant people cannot tolerate intolerance. because they're against it. that's fine because it doesn't make THEM intolerant, just makes them even more tolerant.

if that made any sense...

Yes this makes total sense to me.. especially because they are not hating him because of his race or looks or anything like normal racist people do. they are simply excusing him which makes them tolerant but are not willing to support his beliefs.

no that didnt make any sense. intolerance is not accpeting something or someone for one reason or another. so by not accepting this person even though you dont agree with them is being intolerant of their right to think they way they want. as long as they arent hurting or killing people they can think/do whatever they want.
