US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi charged that the CIA had misled her in 2002 about the alleged torture of suspected extremists.
-Pelosi has drawn Republican charges that she knew years ago about harsh techniques -- such as the controlled drowning known as waterboarding
-Asked whether she was accusing the Central Intelligence Agency of lying to top lawmakers, Pelosi replied: "Yes, misleading the Congress of the United States."
-At issue is when, precisely, the California Democrat who is now second in line for the presidency found out that the CIA was using waterboarding
-Pelosi said the CIA briefed her just once, in September 2002, telling her only that then-president George W. Bush's advisers had concluded such practices were legal while assuring her that waterboarding had not yet been used.
-The CIA says the September 2002 briefing covered tactics that "had been employed," but Pelosi said she only learned about it when a staffer reported to her about a February 2003 briefing in which the agency said it had been used.
Who do you support in this? Nancy Pelosi or the CIA? I honestly think Pelosi is full of it, and lying and trying to prove herself as innocent to this. Even some Democrats are losing faith in her credibility.
i saw this on the news this morning and Pelosi was a studdering mess. HA you could tell she was lying
