Police Officer Turned Prostitute

29 year old Victoria Thorne, a police constable for the Northumbia Police, was convicted on prostitution charges and sentenced to 15 months behind bars. She allegedly accessed information regarding her pimp, his rivals and various other prostitutes from police computers. She clearly violated the trust that had been placed in her, so was the sentence too light, too heavy or about right?

She is held to a higher standard than just a normal person being charged with prostitution. She has access to that information and definitly abused her powers. And I feel that it is a fair sentence.

Hahaha this story makes me laugh. I think its pretty rediculous that a respected police constable chose to ruin her life by prostituting, especially when she already had a job! She is part of the very force that should be removing prostitues from the streets, not adding to the problem by engaging in prostituion herself. I think the sentence was fair, but that she should also resign from the police force.

I agree. Being a police offier is a very respectable job to obtain and should be treated as such. Abusing her privelages of having such a career to make her side-job even better is absolutely unjust.

I think the tiem she was given is about right. Prostitution doesn't bother me so much. If it's her perogative to sell herself then have it. But the fact that she was a police officer she should be upholding the law more so than other individuals becuase she is held to a higher standard. The reason i think her jail time is about right is because she had an official government job that hols classified information that should not be let out. Abusing her authority as a police officer is what really annoys me. I'm glad she's in jail. I don't think she'll be getting her job back or let back into law enforcement though lol.

i dont get why she would be a prostitute if she already had a good paying respectable job.. but she didnt do too much harm so i think the punishment was fair.. i dont think she should get her job back as police officer though

This is very hilarious. I feel horrible for the police officer who ruined her life. She had a future and prostitution got in the way. no

WOW! I think that's pretty funny! I think the sentencing should have been a little more harsh then 15 months. that is pretty sad though that a police officer would do something like that. jawdrop.gif

i think her sentance was appropiate because its not just the fact that she was a prostitute its the fact that she used her govermentle job to access information on other peoples profiles.

That's an unacceptable abuse of power and I think the punishment was fitting.

prostitues get sentanced and put behind bars everyday and we never hear about them. the only reason this one even made the news is because she was a police officer, who was held to a higher standard, and betrayed the trust that the people put in her to protect and serve. i believe that her sentance was fine, but i also belive that she should never be allowed into law enforcement again.

I believe that prostitution should not be punished by law. Sometimes prostitution is a last resort for some people. There should be counsling instead of jail time. But by being a police officer she needs to follow the law. Abusing her power to help out her pimp is wrong and she should be punished for that.

First of all WOW. Cop gone prostitute...it really doesn't get better. Well she did betray the trust of everyone so yeah she should be punished harshly. I mean she totally USED the police computers to get info. Once again, WOW.
