Egyptian Christians ask for equal rights as Muslims to build houses of worship

Egyptian activists have protested in front of parliament and called for legislation giving Christians equal rights as Muslims to build houses of worship.

The demonstrators, both Muslim and Christian, were also protesting Wednesday against the sectarian strains in the country, particularly in light of a Christmas Eve slaying of six Copts and a Muslim guard outside a church in southern Egypt.

Do Christians have a right to build houses of worship in a Muslim doninated country?

I think Christians should be able to build churches without being afraid of what might happen because even though it is a Muslim dominated country, Christians that live there should feel free to go practice there religion in building.

I agree that Christians should be able to build houses of worship just like the muslims. No one should be persecuted for their religious beliefs. I know it's Egypt, not the USA but they need some religious tolerance.

Also it's not like the Christians are asking to be the new national religion of Egypt, they just want to be able to meet together with other Christians in a house of worship. Is that really too much to ask?

I think Christians can built their churches anywhere they like as long as they have followers. There is nothing wrong of building a church in a Muslim dominated country unless halted by the government.

I believe that christians should be able to build churches in muslim dominated countries. Muslims build their places of worship in christians dominating countires, so why chritians should restrain of it.

Everyone should have the right to express their beliefs iam so tired of some countries persecuting people because of their beliefs. The christians in egypt demonstrate religious tolerance towards the Muslims, so the Muslims in egypt should do the same.
