Pasco teen eats sheriff's cruiser seat after being arrested

"Perhaps 18-year-old Jesse Ray Stewart got the wrong message with Crime Dog McGruff's national "Take a Bite Out of Crime" campaign."

"While a Pasco County Sheriff's Office deputy was taking Stewart to the Land O' Lakes Jail on Sunday after he was arrested on a burglary charge, Stewart took a bite -- actually several -- out of the patrol car's seat, sheriff's officials say.

Bite by bite, he tore through vinyl cruiser No. 2502, a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, exposing its fluffy filling, a sheriff's report states. When he was done with the presumably not-so-tasty treat, he had done about $300 in damage, Deputy Mark Mitchell reported."

Uhm, well, I'm not sure what this would've accomplished, but hey, he was drunk... his charges were: auto burglary, resisting arrest without violence and criminal mischief. Bail is set at $10,300.

Comments? What's the strangest way you'd try to escape the police?

I hope I am never in a situation where I would try desperate things to escape the police. I don't even know where I would go after I escaped.

Wow, that's pretty rediculous.
I don't know if I'd ever try to escape the police. The trick is not getting in trouble in the first place ;)

I would probably just ride it out, then get my Russian Mafia friends to break me out. ^^

Anyone got connections to the Russian Mafia...?
