Will resort tourists keep coming as Mexican violence spreads?

We have all heard about the violence that has been going on in Mexico.  Acapulco is Mexicos most popluar tourist spot.More than 30 people have been killed in Acapulco. The Mexican government says it is dealing with a turf war among drug cartels.Mexican officials say tourism has not been affected.

Would all the violence in Mexico affect your decision to vacation there?

I definitely have no desire to go to Mexico right now. It's scary--the cartels don't care who they kill. It's not worth the risk, just for a vacation.

I know I am already afraid to go to Mexico, which is a shame since I just learned how to speak Spanish these past few years

Yes, most defenitly. there is a high risk of getting into danger, especially if im on my own.

Personally I find Mexico to be a dirty, dirty place... {that is also very sketchy} I'm not trying to be racist... (because I am not talking about the people, especially since I AM half Mexican by birth.)

I've never really had any desire to vacation in Mexico before and all this violence definitely is going to keep me away.

I think it definetly is a big discouragement.. i mean especially to FAMILIES with KIDS.....it's not gonna be on the top of their lists for vacation spots....
To me i feel it is a deterrent, tourists want to have fun and feel safe.

I would probably not go there for vacation. Specially if I bring my family. Who would endanger their family willingly like that??

Yes most definitely. I have been to Mexico a lot of times, but now my family does not even want to get near it. It has become such a dangerous place and it really is sad.

I've been to mexico and it is quite beautiful and it is truly sad that the violence spoils such an amazing place.

I would still go. In fact, I have gone since all the violence.

I think the violence is definitely affecting the tourism business in Mexico.

Definately. I have never been to Mexico and I don't plan on going anytime soon.
