Huge asteroid barley misses Earth

An asteroid the size of an aircraft carrier just missed Earth, flying in between us and the moon. Scientists repeated that it would not strike earth, but they used the time to study it as it passed.

If a asteroid hit us there would be a mass panic most likely; also depending on the location where it hit would affect how much damage it would actually do and how much panic it would cause.

it could have wiped us out like the dinos! then maybe in the futre aliens would eat human shaped chicken nuggets...

If the asteroid hit us the world would go under very large changes in the enviroment or we'd just explode into many bits and pieces. We'd just be dead or if the enviroment changed then we'd try to acclimate to the new changes.

Don't asteroids that get our atmosphere burn up to a crisp?

We would have been notified over a year ago if an asteroid was on a collision course with Earth. These rocks are easily predicted in space and if it was gonna hit, there would be no stopping it...then we all go boom boom!

 It depends on the size, but an aircraft carrier sized asteroid? I think there'd be a pretty immense impact

if an asteroid hit us, everyone would be running out of town and the freeways would get jammed when everyone got the warning that one is coming in our direction. Other than being in a nuclear bunker, i dont think we have a chance if its a large one

I would call Bruce Willis for help, he would know what to do when an asteroid is going to hit us.

I think that we would not know what to do because we would be so afraid, i also think that there would be alot of damage.

we're most likely not prepared for that kind of situation... it'd be very chaotic but an interesting story to tell our grandchildren if we live to tell the tale
