Teen Mom's Photo Banned from Yearbook

A North Carolina teen's photo was banned from her school yearbook after it was deemed innapropriate. The school told the students to bring a prop that accurately represents them and what they've done. The teen brought her 3 month old son Leelin, Caitlin stated that she picked her son because he has made her a better person.

The school said the photo promoted teen pregnancy so thats why it was banned.

Like I said before the photo should not be taken down and it should be allowed to stay.

I'm sure people brought much more inappropriate props than a baby....would they rather her bring a fake baby? Weird.

I agree with Maddie, there are worse things that she could've brought, but students were supposed to bring something that represents what they have done and all her kid says that she has done is that she was irresponsible and reckless.

Also, if she brought in family then everyone else would have to be allowed to bring in family and the school asked for props, family ids not a prop.

I think the school is right, but for the wrong reasons. Like Celeste said, a baby isn't a prop; unless someone else previously posed with, say, their baby brother or something like that, then an inanimate object is probably the way to go.

Yeah i don't think the picture should be allowed in the yearbook, the school doesn't want to promote teen pregnancies so why should they allow it? She did a very naughty irresponsible thing and apparently couldn't keep her legs closed so she should have to face the consequences along with having to take care of a baby.

I dont think it promotes teen pregancy. I think that it SHOULDN'T be banned. Most people don't know her story or what she went through but she followed exactly what the school asked. I think the t.v. promotes it more than taking a picture with a child. Most people if werent told, probably thought it was her little brother or something so I personally dont find anything wrong with it. Years from now no one will remember but it will be something special to her.

I understand and agree with the reasoning that the school doesnt want family in the senior section of the year book but i think that, that should've been the initial answer as to why they took her photo out not that it 'promoted teen pregnancy'.

Really? "Couldn't keep her legs closed" ? At lease she had the baby! I in no way support teen pregnancy but I would much rather her have the child and be proud of that than abort it. I am sure dealing with her peers/parents is enough, give her a break!
