European forest nearing carbob-saturation point-Torque

Europe has been know for centuries for being the "greenest" having so many and trees covering the country. But with resent reports of the aging forests in Europe, they believe that these old trees can no longer obsorb carbon. Forests from Spain to Sweden are getting older, packed with trees that aren't good at soaking up the emissions blamed for rising world temperatures, mounting sea levels and increasing numbers of heat waves and floods, experts said. They've started cutting down some trees but it isn't enough. They want the government to get involved.

Do you think the government should get involved? Or let nature take is course?
