SIX young adults wrote a scathing obituary for their dead mother, saying she made their lives hell and they are glad she's dead.

Nevada woman Marianne Johnson-Reddick died September 12, 2013 at the aged 78, and her children wrote an obituary for their local paper, The Reno Gazette-Journal, which was published on September 10 discribing and depicting how terrible of a mother she was.

If my mom made my life hell, I wouldn't have any respect for her, even though she gave birth to me.

a moms a mom no matter how much you hate her, she gave birth do you and at least give thanks for having her.

I think it really relys on the ones taking the punishment and the conditions because that sort of torture can mentally snap a person to where they commit suicide, or become just as violent and mean. they could even develope the attachment disorder. But ido agree with their way of now standing up to the child abuse that they have once lived through.

Did you read the article or the summary? The article shows the children saying their mom would follow them and "torture" the people they cared about as well.

At first glance this seems like a very cruel thing for the kids to do because it is very disrespectful, even if she was horrible. Yet after reading the full article she seems like a crazy lady. I mean yes parents can be "harsh" or "cruel" in our eyes but this lady seems vengeful. I don't necessarily approve of what her kids did but the fact they were apparently attempting to showcase how child abuse isn't ok I approve of. I don't think our country pays enough attention to the problems in our own backyards. Children may be starving in other countries because they are so poor but there are kids here going to school trying to hide bruises and make excuses for broken bones. We don't need anymore "Concrete Angels".

she's still their mom. she took care of them, maybe not they way the children wanted it, but shes still their mother.

It is not sept. 12th everyone how could she already be dead???? In Nevada??? And the article said she died Sept. 30th. I'm so confused.....

no matter what you should still have respect for your mother. you may hate her and want her dead but she is the one who gave u a life to live in the first place so be grateful. also be glad she taught you what NOT to do to your kids.

i think that even though it is their mother, it is her fault for putting her kids through that "torture". i feel that people should like people that treat them right and not like someone because you have to.
