Iran poses "absolutely no threat to the world"

It's good that the new president of Iran is making the effort to prove he wants to avoid war with other countries. And although we're unsure about whether Hassan Rouhani's words can be trusted, the U.S should proceed with caution and try to create peace.

Iran's presiden Hassan Rouhani says in an interview that Iran is not a threat to the world.

After the history of Iran do you think that this is not true and they are housing WMDs and nuclear weapons?

It is extremely hard to believe that they have those kinds of weapons. I mean, the most advanced weapons they had were the ones we gave them. Even though we have had bad decisions in the past, I don't think we would have one bad enough to give anyone nuclear arms.

Exactly, we gave them weapons. Who says they don't go and reproduce those and make mass weapons?

The article has "quotes" around the right words to make it sound like it's bad, and it just seems to be too biased to be true. He's a new president, so maybe he's trying to make things right and is legit with what he's saying

I hope that what the President says is true. It would be great to be back on good terms with Iran. I don't believe they have made any advances as far as their nuclear weapons go.

It is difficult to trust Iran but maybe the President just wants to be on good terms with America. We just have to wait and see what happens.

I agree with Russel. I mean he could be lying or he could be trying to get a better name for Iran, and let the world know they can be trustful. But we should still keep our guards up.

I think he could go either way.... but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and believing he is trying to make ammends.

Just because he said they are "no threat" we should still keep up our defense just in cause it's all a lie.
