Donations pour in for homeless man who returned backpack with $42K

Glen James is a homeless man who returned a backpack he had found which had contained roughly around $42,000. He found the bag outside a TJ Maxx store in Boston and immediatly gave it to police. To reward James, Ethan Whittington started an online donation site which has raised over $92,000. Whittington's goal was to raise about $50,000. As the donations continued, people offered to give James free computers and dental work. The Boston Police department held ceremony to honor James and Whittington is planning to give him the money personally.

He totally deserves it. almost every story in this forum is negative but it is great to see humanity still exists.

Wow! This is a very refreshing story to read. It is both positive to the homeless man and the people who lost the money. I am glad that this man's honest characteristics are being rewarded.

This is diffidently a news worthy story its good to have some positive mixed in with all the negative i also find it very appealing that the man is receiving more money then was in the backpack he returned.

The homeless man did a good deed of giving the backpack to the police, and the homeless man gets something good in return. yay for humanity
