At least 12 people were killed and many more injured Friday morning in Mexico City when a passenger bus overturned on a highway west of the Mexican capital, according to government and media reports. The bus driver was reported to be speeding when the driver lost control causing the bud to overturn and plunge into a ravine. Among the dead were eight men, three women and a boy in a high-school uniform, according to the government statement. Some media reports have put the number of dead as high as 14.
These poeple had no idea that they would get on the bus and end up dieing... it is so tragic. How did it even happen? did the guy driving not pay attention to the road?
That is a terrible tragedy. I hope that the families of the victims will be able to recover from such a situation. The bus driver shouldn't have been speeding!
Was the bus driver not aware of his speed? The bus driver was probably distracted, which is horrible because being distracted even for 1 second ended up with 14 people dead.
This is why it's important to pay attention and not get distracted while driving. If you're not paying attention to your speed and the road around you then you run the risk of injuring and possibly killing others and yourself.
