Surfers ride the storm in Europe

Big winter storms in Europe have stirred up big waves off some of the continent's surfing hot spots. The famous surf spot in Belharra saw some of the sport's top names fly in from around the world to surf on these waves.  When the eye of the storm closes in most people head home -- but for surfers intent on riding out the waves of the winter storms it's a different story.

Are any of you guys surfers? 

If you do surf would you go to the extend to travel around the world to get to nice waves?

Would you ever put your life in danger just to surf? Are you that dedicated?

I don't surf but I think surfing is such a cool sport. The pictures CNN provided within the article are amazing. The surfers on the waves don't appear to have an ounce of fear in them and look like they are really enjoying themselves.

it is pretty incredible, the passion that surfers have to travel around the world and putting themselves in danger
