(Trail Mix) Family Reunion!!!

South Korea and North Korea have come to an agreement to let families that have been seperated since that Korean War (1950-1953) to meet again.  This is the first time since 2010 that this will happen if it goes through. However last year North Korea backed out of an agreement like this due to accusations about South Korea had soured relations between the two nations. Both nations say that they are dedicated to the possibility of this agreement happening February 20 through the 25th.  North Korea is skeptical due to the up coming military exercises with the US and South Korea. Both the US and South Korea rejected North Korean pleas to skip the exercise.  How do you think this situation should be dealt with?

Individual Response by Timothy Ingle 2/5/14:

I think if North Korea is being skeptical due to the up coming military exercises with the US and South Korea, maybe South Korea should just wait to let families that were separated since the Korean War to meet again so they ain't worried about nothing. Maybe South Korea should also do military exercises like the US and North Korea. I would rather wait a little longer to meet with my family than to risk our lives and many other families' lives who haven't seen each other for years.

I think they should allow the families to have their reunion regardless of the upcoming military exercises. The families have already been kept apart for a few years so they shouldn't have to be punished just because north Korea is skeptical.

I think they should still allow the family reunions because the families have been seperated for long enough.  If the countries do not agree on everything , they should at least come up with a reasonable compromise to fix the conflict, but should not overlook the reunions.

Family reunion should be proceeded regardless of the military situation. I would like to say that the military exercise should be delayed until the end of February to ease North Korea's concern although North Korea's plea to "skip" an exercise which is made after an agreement between the U.S. and South Korea is not considerate of them.
