Where's your favorite place on the planet that you HAVE been? Where on the planet have you NOT yet been but would really like to visit?

My favorite places that I've been:

Cinque Terre, Italy (a series of five towns in the cliffs above the sea connected by hiking trails that were originally created by farmers bringing their crops to market - it's now a national park)

cinque-terre-1.jpg

and Kauai, HI, USA

Hanalei-Bay-Kauai.jpg

I haven't yet been to SO many places I'd love to see.  Fiji is perhaps at the top of my list, though St. Lucia is vying for a top spot, too :)

Though I'm not JUST a beach girl :).  I'd also love to go to Machu Picchu and Budapest and Ireland and Croatia and Belgium and Iceland and........ :)

My favorite place is my hometown in Mexico: Totolmajac, Villa Guerrero, Estado De Mexico. It's absolutely beautiful. Behind a volcano, and at the center of a valley, surrounded by trees and mountains and rivers and flowers, it's pure bliss. I've always wanted to go to Rome, Dubai, Ireland, and Brazil.

The most beautiful place I have ever been so far is Xcaret in Cancun. Cancun is located on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. It not only has breathtaking beaches, but these amazing underground river tunnels. They are almost like caves. They are absolutely beautiful! My family and I went scuba diving and explored them this past summer. There are pictures linked below! :)

My favorite place is Las Vegas. I just like the pricey restaurants and busy city-like experience.

When I was 8 years old, I had the great opportunity to take a European Tour. I went to Italy, England, Switzerland, and France. It was a surreal experience. Some of my favorite places were the Italian cities of Venice, Florence, Rome, and the country of Switzerland.

Venice is an amazing city because it is, as many people know, sinking, and what is most fascinating is that you can actually see stairs and other older structures that are now submerged as a result. There are waterways throughout the city, and you can go on a gondola ride. Venice is definitely like no other place I've been.

Florence is really interesting because all of the art and architecture that is present. When I think of a European city, I think of Florence. There are beautiful arches and statues throughout the city, and a lot of the buildings are beautiful tan structures. I'll also always remember Florence because it was the first time I ever tried gelato, which is just ice cream that is inexplicably good for some reason.

Rome is spectacular because of all of the grand structures, especially the Roman Colosseum. When I was in Rome, I also had the opportunity of going into the Vatican, which is an extremely interesting place because it is actually considered it's own country, and the pope lives there. The Sistine Chapel that is there is really cool as well, because you can see really neato stuff like an old pope who is on public display behind a glass wall (he was waxed to be preserved), and I also heard from the tour guide that there are actually pieces of the spear used in the crucifixion of Jesus Christ inside of the church! Super cool!

Switzerland definitely takes the cake for me as my favorite place though. Although there weren't many grand structures or relics of history, Switzerland is amazing because it is a mountainous area with a great climate, and if I could live anywhere in the world it would probably be there. We went to multiple cities, but the one that stands out in my mind is Geneva, which is a cool place because of the U.N meetings held there, as well as it being the watch capital of the world. I hope I can go back there someday!

OH, almost forgot. If I could go to one place in the world, it would probably be either an Asian city like Seoul in South Korea or Tokyo in Japan, but specifically, there's this place called Salar De Uyuni in Bolivia, which is a salt flat. Sounds pretty lame, but whenever it rains, a thin layer of water is left on the surface of the all white ground, so it reflects the bright blue sky in an amazing way. Search it on Google to see, I don't have time to add a picture!!!

My favorite place in the world would be my family's timeshare in Cabo San Lucas. I love it there. I wake up in the morning and I see a beautiful view. With an infinite pool right outside my bedroom door it is amazing. I have never been to Vietnam but I wish to go there someday cause that it where my mom was born.
