Want Fries With That? Should You Have a College Job and Where Should It Be?

A USA News & World Report story reveals that "research by U.S. Department of Education found that students who work up to 15 hours a week have significantly higher GPAs than non-working students." and looks at the pros and cons of working on and off-campus.

What are your college plans? Do you anticipate having a job while you attend?

My college plans consist of going to Fullerton Community College and I would like to have a job while I attend, preferably on an on-campus job. Although it's not necessary, it is very convent. I do plan on going to a University unless I find a carrier I want to stick to in the time that I attend Community College.

I plan on going to Fullerton College and then transferring to a University. I plan on having a job during my education both at Fullerton College and at the University I choose to attend. I think that having a job while going to school is a good way to learn responsibility and I actually plan on applying for a job in the next week or so.

I plan on going to Cal State Fullerton and later going to USC (probably) for my masters. I do hope I can find a job and/or internship while I'm doing my studies in order to increase my experience. Ideally, the internship I hope I get will be willing to help pay for my masters education. As of right now, I've had a job but it isn't involving the career I want.

After high school, I plan to move in with my older sister and go to community college in costa mesa. While in comunity college, I would like to get a job at a local café, because the people there always have positive vibes. I do believe that having a job, even part time, teaches a student to manage time, money and focus.
