Debriefing Our Speakers- What'd You Think?

Anything you particularly liked/thought was interesting/thought was thought-provoking that our speakers relayed on Friday?  Do you have any interest in either of those professions?

Journalism is an important media, although I'd argue its becoming a little less important because we all can become journalists, we all have cell phones that can take pictures, record our thoughts, and take videos. Its a new age of journalism and you can tell that the entire journalism industry is still trying to adjust.

Although I am not interested in pursueing a career as a journalist or reporter, I found it very curious how the speaker's jobs allowed them to meet so many different types of people. That would be one of the more attractive aspects of their jobs in my opinion. To have exposure like theirs to people in communities dealing with loss, or people protesting for rights would be a great way to experience first hand the motives and opinions of people in our communities.
