The Hawk Factor ---- Week 6

Ukip leader Nigel Farage has been slammed by a leading charity after suggesting that migrants with HIV should be prevented from entering the UK.

Farage said in an interview that preventing people with the condition entering the country would be a "good start" in controlling the UK's borders.

Do you think its right for Farage to have said this? disbelief He also said that people with a murder conviction should be banned. Is it wrong that he bracket people with HIV and murderers together? no

People with such criminal records are indeed not allowed and ought not be allowed to enter another nation. People who have HIV however should be allowed to migrate given that they are seeking medical care or take measures not to spread it.

People with HIV's and murder records are not the same, and they should not be classified under the same category. My only thought on closing the United Kingdom's borders to civilians with HIV's is it discriminates against those with the disease. It very well could have been something they were born with, in which case they had no say as to whether they could have tried to prevent it or not. I think that part of closing off the borders to migrants is wrong. I do however see closing off borders to migrants with murder records as moral. Why would you allow murderers to enter your country, doesn't really make sense. For the very few who may have been falsely convicted, it is not fare. I do see that as a small price to pay.

The UKip is a very conservative party, like conservatives in the US they have a desire to restrict their borders. There is still a lot of stigma and misunderstanding about AIDS and Nigel Farage should have to apologize to the public for his words.
