Top Toys of the Holiday Season

Snow Glow Elsa is flying off shelves worldwide.  Also popular this year- according to The Guardian, so granted with a British slant - Nerf guns with video cams to record your epic battles, Minecraft sets, and more:

http://www.theguardian.com/artanddesign/2014/dec/01/top-toys-for-christmas-frozen-elsa-doll-lego-minecraft-nerf  (In addition to being informative, the article is quite funny, so definitely worth a perusal :) )

You can find an American-compiled list here: http://www.cnbc.com/id/102138287#.

What was your favorite toy you ever received as a holiday gift?  What are some of the Snow-Glow-Elsa-style toy crazes you remember from growing up? The Cabbage Patch Kid frenzy is the one I remember best - you couldn't buy them here without camping out overnight and even then it was hit-or-miss, but my grandma went to Denmark on a vacation that year and found one for me, so not only did I have a CPK, but it was an INTERNATIONAL one.  Still one of my most memorable Christmas presents :)

What's on your holiday list this year?

The MOST epic gift I received growing up had to be the awesome train table my dad build for my brothers and I one Christmas. It was epic. Handcrafted with drawers on the bottom for all our train tracks and trains. Another was my white board. I wanted to be a teacher really badly, no shame. Still do!

I used to hate Christmas actually (I think it was because I never got anything I liked) so I guess in my case my favorite gift was money ($.$). I just remember that every Christmas, at the very top of my wish list would be superpowers (it varied-mind control, controlling the elements, shapeshifting, etc). If "Santa" couldn't give me superpowers, I wanted money.
This year, I wish I could say I changed but not really... I still want money (but wayy more of it) and I still would like superpowers. However, I'm willing to be more flexible ;) I'd take a shopping spree (hats and shoes! <3) or certain privileges/freedom.
