Chinese teenager Huugjilt was 18 years old when convicted with rape and murder. however his conviction was called into question in 2005 when a serial rapist confessed to the crime. Police admitted being under a lot of pressure during the prosecution. This confession happened after Huugiilt was executed for charged crime. Delivering his judgement, the judge in the court in Hohhot apologised and bowed to the tearful parents of the executed teenager. As an expression of sympathy, the family was given was 30,000 yuan

My question is, was the apology and compensation given to the family, worth the life taken away from them due to inaccurate accusations? Should the court have done or given more, or does the mistake done in good faith make it okay?\
i don't think they can ever really compensate for the loss of their son but i think it was a nice gesture. maybe the could ask the parents if they'd like anything else? but i don't think the apology and compensation was worth the loss they continue to suffer.
