Typically I do not try to make New Year's Resolutions. This year however, I decided that I would begin to make better decisions when eating so I can become healthier. I failed on the first day. People that can actually keep to their resolutions are awesome and must have good discipline.
To me, new years resolutions are more fun than serous. If i make them, its usually something simple, just to see how long I can last. My New Years Resolution was to cook at home more, rather than going out. I have been pretty successful so far. Being a vegetarian makes it somewhat harder. My parents are not vegetarians, so when i make dinner, i have to make it separate. For example, last night I made enchiladas. I had to make two separate dishes (just making one kind is a lot work.) That is the only thing that makes my new years resolution somewhat hard. However, I've done good, and I plan to put in a little more work to keep it up.
Like most things there are ups and downs to making resolutions. A pro can be that you have positive goals for yourself which are always nice to have but a con might be that they are unrealistic goals meaning you set yourself up for failure. Anyway a few of my resolutions are to go to the beach at least once every season, take more pictures, read more, just to name a few.
