Bangladesh's High Court has banned the media from reporting speeches and remarks by Tarique Rahman, who is the eldest son of the main opposition leader Khaleda Zia.
Do they have the right to hide this from their people?
If they are blocking the speech of a radical, then yes. In the pursuit of maintaining peace and order against radicals I think this censorship is fair. I do not condone it, however, if they are blocking the speech of a political activist. Additionally, I believe radical views and thoughts need to be very extreme in order for them to be censored.
In their own country under their own rules they can do whatever they feel necessary and that their government allows.. although this would infringe upon freedom of expression, this is a whole another country that operates on different standards. if they feel like their actions are keeping their civilians safe, and an intact government. they are free to take on these actions
Nobody's speech should be decidedly "too radical", if you defend the right of Charlie Hebdo to speak than all should be able to speak freely, without double standards. This is an infringement on freedom of speech.
