The 4 Amigas: Yemen Militia Leader Says Holding Indirect Talks With Saudi Arabia

Last year, Yemen was taken over by the Houthis and shortly after, Saudi Arabia suspended its financial aid and accused Iran of backing the Shi'ite group as part of a region-wide power grab.The Houthis say their rise is a revolution against corruption and misrule but Gulf countries have denounced it as coup. On March 15, the Houthi militia leader said that the group was engaged in indirect talks with Saudi Arabia, the first dialogue since they took over.

With the Yemeni president escaped from house arrest, there is now a power struggle between him and the Houthi militia. Do you think this will descend into civil war?

it will result in riots and protests but i dont think there will be a war

If the problem isn't solved soon, I think an ongoing civil war is definitely possible.

I believe there will be riots and small outbreaks of fighting but it could result in a war.

I think that there will be a number of riots, strikes or other forms of protest. I don't think it will be strong enough for war.

I do not think there will be a war but maybe some protests or riots that can be violent and might need the police's action to break up

I don't think it will result in a civil war but it will definitely cause a lot of conflict.
