Weekly Highs/Lows - What's Happening?!

I enjoyed your replies so much last week (MOLLY- WOW!!! :) So cool!!!) that I'm putting this back out there again :):

What's uberrad in your life this week or not-so-fab that's worth noting?

As usual, most of my best moments these past few days are MiniCav-related - My middle kid scored his first touchdown in flag football last Friday, my youngest wandered around the house last night singing "Micah, you're an awesome kid!" to the tune of Firework, and my daughter has turned our living room into a movie set to work on a fourth-grade video project about Hollywood :).  But I also am working with some of my favorite colleagues on a project for next month that involves all of you student-types (shameless teaser.  It is going to be awesometastic and I am WAY excited about it. Stay tuned. :) ) and having all sorts of fun and good feels watching some related fabulousness unfold.  Yay, world. :)

This week, I started the preparations to travel to Rosarito, Mexico with my church and visit an orphanage in June after graduation. I'm really excited about it because I plan to major in sociology and I hope to work with The Compassion Industry that is partnered with our trip. It will be a great experience and I have a feeling that it will fuel me with even more determination to become a traveling social worker someday.

This week, I go the news that I'm invited to go on a tour of Disney's Imagineering in Glendale for this Wednesday! I'm so excited because only 20 people are allowed in and it is open to so many! So This Wednesday I'm leaving school early to take a tour on Disney's Cruise line, hotel, and park jobs. I'm going to learn how Disney designs their attractions for their people- like Japan for example. Our park has splash mountain designed so that people sit in between another person's legs. However in Japan, this is very frowned upon so it is designed differently. So when I go on this tour, I might be seeing what I want to do as my career.

This week, I got my first job and I am working at Camelot Golfland! I will currently be working inside the castle, then when summer comes around I will be outside working on the slides as a lifeguard. This past weekend I got my CPR and lifeguard certification. I am really excited to start working at my first job and be earning my own money to save up for a car in the future, hopefully a Camaro.

This week I found out I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled out over spring break. That is a bummer, but I am excited to go to San Francisco this weekend to visit the college and check out the city! It will be my first Easter in such a different city away from home.
