Al-Shabab militants have attacked a government complex in a busy area of Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, leaving at least 17 people dead, including seven assailants. A car loaded with explosives was driven into the wall surrounding the compound, and gunmen then stormed into the building. Al-Shabab opposes the UN-backed administration and wants African Union forces to leave Somalia.

What do you think the government should do about it? Should the United States get involved ?
Somalia's government is very corrupt and disorganized, it is going to take a lot of work to reshape this country- it's almost officially labeled as a failed country. I don't think there is much the government can do right now, and the US has more important issues to deal with
clearly the government should invest in counter intelligence and peruse the terrorist organization. but in the case of the US getting involved... no we are not the world police force (even though it may seem that we are sometimes).
I am not sure if the United States should get involved. We have a lot of problems of our own. However they can't go unpunished and maybe if the U.S. were to step in, it would encourage other countries to step in too.
I think that Somalia's government is unsafe and the government needs to find ways or plans to prevent terrorist attacks. However, I don't think the U.S. should get involved because it can cause danger for us with terrorist attacks and we should only get involved if they are threatening people from America. Because if we get involved it can lead them to us.
Their government should punish the attackers by putting them in jail. I think the United States should get involved because we want everyone to be as safe and privileged as we are here in the United States.
