Protestors across the US are forming in hopes of changes to the law enforcement system. There have been many fatal shootings. A man named Eric Harris was killed when a deputy said he accidentally drew his gun instead of taser.

How do you feel about these police shootings? Should there be a reform in our law enforcement system?
This case in itself is absolutely ridiculous. I don't understand how someone can "accidentally" pull their loaded handgun instead of their taser-granted this was a taser gun (that's besides the point)- the point is, however, that this needs to stop. I know several police officers, GOOD police officers, and they are absolutely appalled by the behavior police officers have been exhibiting over these past few months. Police officers are taught to shoot at last resort, not before asking any questions or in retaliation to a misdemeanor. Furthermore, over 26% of American police officers have reported taking extraneous measures of violence in the case of interaction with a suspect of a racial minority. We are seeing history repeat itself, and it's time to wake up.
As maddy said, the case itself is ridiculous. There should not be a reform in our law enforcement to prevent these horrible shootings. I think police need to have much more severe punishments for the ones that do comitt these acts. Then maybe, more police would not continue to do this.
The police definitely need change their image around, lately people have been so against them. We are supposed to trust and feel safe by having the police. Maybe harsher punishments and video cameras will help pressure them and try harder to be responsible.
The police are supposed to be making us feel safe but lately they have just been worrying everyone. How do you accidentally mistake your gun for a taser? I agree with kaylee about how harsher punishments and video cameras will help pressure them and try harder to be responsible for their actions
i honestly have no clue how someone could accidentally shoot the suspect. however it must have been either an accident or the officer was doing this out of malicious intent due to the fact that he was aware that some officers at the seen had body cams.
there should be a reform in law enforcement since it seems these "accidents" are occurring more often. The idea of body cameras could be the answer to these issues.
I think that it is very easy to see a few of these cases and change the view of police in many Americans minds but I don't think this is a problem that needs a overall change. I think that every city should deal with their own problems differently. Because some places need more or less protection.
i hate police. plain and simple. they do whatever they want and think there are no consequences. the fact that they "accidentally" pulled a gun, i do not believe is true.
