South Africa has offered immigrants big opportunities to start up businesses. However, violence has broken out against these immigrants. Their shops are being burned and some of these immigrants are even killed. These outbreaks are due to South Africa's failures in transitioning to democracy and their history of regional and ethnic conflicts.
it has only been in resent history that apartheid has ended. therefor i believe that south Africa needs to undergo cultural changes to end racial conflicts. the government cannot really control the zeitgeist of the people.
I think the government needs to contain these out bursts on the immigrants. Also people need to accept the immigrants. There are always going to be immigrants anywhere they go.
