BlueManGroup-Bin Laden's son refused asylum in Spain

http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/11/06/osama.son.spain/index.html

Omar Bin Laden and his wife requested asylum in Spain.  He has publicly called his father to abandon terrorism.  Spain did not give a reason for their rejection.  He was also denied asylum in Britain.

Do you think Spain's decision was based on his father's terrorist activities?
And if so, do you think that is appropriate?

I think son is not responsible for his father's actions.

I think these countries are taking necessary precautions and If Omar Osama Bin laden really wants to promote peace then he should somehow prove it to the world and then maybe he'll be accepted.

I think it probably was because his papa is osama bin laden and I tend to think it was appropriate. Like any parent would, he's probably disheartened that his son has denounced his lifestyle and what he believes in. And then he sees Omar going to live in the west like that. He might want take out his anger on whatever country takes him in.

I think that Spain was rejecting him because of his father, but I don't think he is to blame. His father is the terrorist, not him.

spain is smart.. that would be a horrible mistake on their part.. but sounds like lil bin laden is trying to break apart from the past and redeem himself in a way.. maybe in the near future he'll will prove his loyatly somewhere

It isn't fair to be judged by your father's actions, but I agree with Spain. Spain is just watching out for themselves which is understandable.

It isn't fair but Spain has had many terrorist attacks so the do have the right to be skepticable.
