Euthanasia

Depsite what it sounds like, it doesnt really have anything to do with young people roaming around on the Asian continent. but what do you think about being able to die by choice? is there any morals against doing what you want with your own life? should people be able to die with dignity or should they be forced to live the end of the days where they dont know who they are and are wandering around naked causing trouble? is there somekind of solution?

Your life. Your choices. Make them as you see them.

If I am in a coma I want my mom to say end it now if I have no chance of living normally. If I can not make the choice then my loved ones should.

End of story.

Religion would say that nobody has the right to take away a life, even if it is your own...thats against religious morality..  murder..suicide.. and abortion. Religion would say that those are the same. Immoral.
A lot of religious people would agree with that.

Personally, i'm a little different. If your suffering from a terminal illness, and ur requesting to be released from ur pain, then you should have the right to do so. The government and other should give u the freedom of choice and respect it. Now, if a doctor is against euthanasia, he should refer u to another doctor if that's what you really want to do. It's better than letting someone suffer and be a burden on their families. What do you guys thinnk?

California : Nothing condones, authorizes, or approves mercy killing or permits an affirmative act or omission to end life other than the withholding of health care pursuant to a durable power of attorney so as to permit the natural process of dying. In making health care decisions under a durable power of attorney, an attempted suicide shall not be construed to indicate a decision of the principal that health care treatment be restricted or inhibited.

Draw your decisions from what you believe. Govern with what you know.

My family knows that if I am in a vegitative state, and there is no chance of my body ever recovering to the point that I would be able to regain independence or be supported comfortably that I would not want to be kept alive. I don't want to stick around just to take up space and have them worry about me.

There is a "slippery slope" effect that has occurred where euthanasia has first been legalized for only the terminally ill and later laws are changed to allow it for other people or to be done non-voluntarily.

i agree! people shouldnt go to other countries if they want to die just because its legal. as to what lauren said. wwjd? i agree. its not right to end your own life. if you are going to be a vegetable forever and you cant make any choices or live life normally i would say let my mom make the decision. she knows what is best for me and i trust her most. for me.. and im sure for others... this is a really sensitive subject soooo we should all be nice with our comments.
:)

the right to decide when and how your life should end is up to the person.

If a person really wants to die by euthanasia, then I think he/she should be allowed. It's his/her choice.
