A newly released study suggests that daydreaming is good for the brain because it can actually activate the part of the brain that relates to problem-solving.
In this age where we are CONSTANTLY plugged in - you guys listen to your iPods while texting while talking on the phone while IMing while updating your Facebook status while watching TV while eating a snack while "doing your homework," do we need to worry that teens - or people at large - aren't taking enough time to daydream, jeopardizing American brainpower in the long run?!
Lego, Cav (the Lego brand name was derived from the Danish expression "leg godt" - play well - and lego also translates in Latin as "I study" or "I put together"...really, one of the world's most perfect words!)
thats a hard one. i know that when you are listening to your ipod you do tend to think about other things..but while the teacher is talking we shouldnt beable to listen to anything but them. (not saying i havent done that before) and its funny cus i do concentrate better if i listen to music while im doing my homework. my mom thinks its an excuse but its true!
I found that day dreaming is going to be very important for my future career i want to get into, so i'm practicing. Music can kind of help me day dream, especially when i'm listening to really good lyrics that inspire me.

it makes sense that day dreaming would help with problem solving. i think that it makes the brain work faster because even when you're just sitting around doing nothing else, you're still thinking if you're day dreaming.. i do it all the time :)
I'm not sure how this would be true since daydreaming is basically letting your brain go on cruise mode but I hope it's true cause for some reason my mind likes to wander......especially before sleeping

I think we daydream enough. I day Dream before i go to sleep. While im at school. When im waiting in line at Starbucks when im driving in the car.. which is kind of dangerous.. but oh well. I think that there are other ways to better problem solve too like writing things down to collect your thoughts. I dont think were in trouble at all
