Pacific Influence Not Waning for US?

Analysts have suggested that the United States' influence in the Pacific regions, like the Oceania, have diminished while China's influence is on the rise. Secretary of State Hilary Clinton scoffed at the idea and assured the Pacific that the United States will still aid them in need. Even if this does happen, analysts predict that China will reshape the dynamics of the Pacific, including Japan and India.

So... should we be worried?

i dont see why we should be worried. the united states loves to have its nose in everyones business all the time so i doubt that we're going to just sit back and not try to aid or influence another country.

I would.  Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong (independent province), India all have really strong economies. If they start ignoring us for China, that'd be devastating.
