Herman Cain...dropping out?

Herman Cain is now debating whether he should continue pursuing the GOP presidential nomination as another woman claims she had an affair with him for 13 years (Cain did say he knew her, but never had an affair with her).

Polls suggest Newt Gingrich could take a majority of Cain's support if he were to drop out.

So, even if Herman Cain never had any affairs, should he continue running?

He should continue running no matter what, even though it would probably destory his chances of getting nominated if he had a affair.

Who knows who is telling the truth or not, but either way all of these allegations are destroying his image and making it less likely to win.

I think if these rumors are not true it would be a shame these women are trying to stifle his career or whoever is behind the urges of the women to suddenly come out of nowhere with these accusations. If they are true, running to be elected for one of the most important positions of power in the entire world, which would be under tons of media scrutiny, doesn't sound like a good choice for Mr. Cain in the first place...

This reminds me of how John Edwards dropped out of the race in 2008 for the primaries, and then it turned out he had an affair with another woman while his wife had cancer. Even if it turns out he didn't have sexual relations with that woman, his image can't be fixed, public figures are remembered for the rules they break, not for the rules they follow

I think he should still be running for president because he used to be at the top with Mit Romney, so why cant he get the chance to do it again?

He's basically caught in a trap, unless he can definitively disprove the accusations of all these women. If he were to drop out, a lot of people would take that as sign of defeat, and he would be conceiding to all of the women making the accusations. If he stays in the race on the other hand, it's likely that even more accusations will come out, true or not. There's so much going on surrounding this scandal that it's hard to see the truth.

I think Cain should stay in the race, its just a bunch of lying women who want money because they see other women got money, its all lies there is no credible evidence their testimonies are just stupid allegations

whether it is true or not i think he should just drop out. his reputaion has been ruined and he does not have enough time to prove to people he really is a good guy

I agree with Kevin and Luke. Cain has been accused of far too much to prove to the country that EVERYTHING is false. Whether he's a good guy or not, his rep seems to be destroyed and staying in the race costs way too much to continuously be accused for something new. Though I would usually say to stand by what you know is right and not to give up...too much is at stake now.

I Think that people would think that he is guilty of all these allegations if he does drop out .
