An unmanned spaceplanes secretive mission, which is set to end with a landing at Vandenberg Air Force Base, will continue beyond the planned 270 days.
Program officials have said that since the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicles March 5 launch aboard an Atlas 5 rocket in Florida, the mini space shuttle could fly longer than the designed duration of 270 days.
While that milestone arrives this week, officials would only say that the secretive mission in space is ongoing, not a surprise to those who have followed the flight.
This version of the plane is just for reconasaince but there are rumors about another plane that is top secret and could have armed weapons being worked on in AREA 51
