This week, six children were murdered & a teacher was injured by a mentally ill man in South China. In recent years, there have been many school attacks on children made by the mentally ill. The most recent besides this attack was in December, when 23 kids were assaulted. Some are attributing it to the lack of treatment for mentally ill people in China.
Most attacks are made with kitchen knives because no private citizens are allowed to have firearms in their possession.
Do you think we should do anything about these brutal murders, especially with the Newtown shooting still so recent & fresh in our minds? If not, do you think we should make it a priority here to ensure that doesn't happen again?
I think we first need to focus about America, where mentally ill people are allowed to have guns (when they shouldnt!) Although there are still other ways to murder poor children, I think that is why six children were killed instead of 20. This is definitely an issue that we should have tackled many years ago.
stuff like this is always going to happen as long as we don't try and help the mentally ill with rehabilitation and other forms of counseling these atrocities will continue to occur on levels such as this one so it all starts from rehabilitation to increased gun control
China would NOT welcome American intervention in what is a purely domestic affair. They're gonna do what they're always gonna do; cover up the issue and pretend nothing is wrong.
