An Oregon teen who did not know how to swim jumped into a lake and didnt come back up, friends thought he was joking. The teen is now in cirtical condition after being revived after 30 minutes under water.
Authorities were able to locate Campuzano nine minutes after arriving - totaling about 30 minutes he was completely submerged. They immediately started CPR and put him in an ambulance, and they hit his chest with the AED to shock him back
The brain starts dying after four minutes without oxygen, it would be a miracle if he came back with any higher functions.
If he knew he couldnt swim why would he jump into a lake? Seems fishy (no pun intended)
Why would he jump in? Why did it take so long for his friends to call the authoritites? The article won't load for me to read, but I have a lot of questions about this story! I am so sorry for this boy's family and hope he can recover but the sad truth is that he will probably be brain dead if he was submerged for that long.
There are a number of things that seem strange about that story. Especially that a group of three teenage boys couldn't get one kid out of the water.

People don't just survive things like this, so I figure that it was not his time. He lived for a reason, so there must be something he is going to do for the world. Maybe he will change his highschool class like Jordan did for us. Anyone who was at prom on Saturday...wow, just wow. If you were there it was easy to say that we all love Jordan very much and he has changed all of our lives. Maybe this boy, even if he doesn't ever completely recover...will be like Jordan was for the 2013 and 2014 El Dorado classes. It makes me proud to be part of such a compassiaonate and loveing group of people.
I agree with Mrs. Cav. What the heck were they doing? Why was it so difficult? And if he was underwater for so long?...Hw long did it take to revive him?
After about 5 minutes I think I would be freaking out, considering its hard for me to hold my breath for like a minute... Gosh poor guy. I think I would rather be death then be brain dead the rest of my life.
