There should absolutely be strick laws on poaching. It it a terrible things to do. While the laws may not contain all of the poachers, new measures could certainly reduce the number of animals harmed by increasing regulations.

POACHING SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED! its a sick and violating way to obtain animals and thier wanted parts. Animals deserve the same respect as humans. elephants are thought to be animals who bring joy to people. they shouldnt be killed off for something so dumb. thats like killing ur grandmother off because you wanted her necklace! its wrong. stricter laws definitely.

thats sad and very troubling to know that these things are happening but atleast this will open peoples eyes to what is happening to our endangered species

you can always put stricter laws on poaching and it will help a little, but it hard to protect wild animals that you let roam around in a open area

Some people's motives man, that's messed. I know that ivory is needed for such athentic quality of things, but can't they just suck it up and use synthetic substitutes for most things "requiring" ivory?

I know there are alot of harsh and strict rules on poachers, Nat Geo magazine does alot of articles on it and the pictures are truly horrifying, but I know sometimes there are just too many poachers fighting a few protectors. Many of the elephant "protectors" have been killed in trying to save the elephants. But it is truly horrific...

Eventually elephants will become extincted for their ivory. I hope strict laws are set in place to protect them from big business.

I definitely think that there should be stricter poaching laws, no animals should be killed in such a cruel and tragic way. It seems extremely difficult to contain this situation because of the vast economic resources it would require hmm

You think that they would want to save Elephants, but nope. They should have stricter laws and groups that will protect the animals.

Poachers are kind of like terrorists. So if you want to stop them it will be really hard, I think. Stricter laws might help though.

Ivory is very valuable and I think if there is demand people are willing to do something illegal to get that profit.
