In the 2020 Olympics hosted in Japan the architects and design team assumed the price would come out to be about 130 billion yen. Which is the equivalent of 1.3 billion US dollars. After all was said and calculated it came out to be 3 billion dollars for the entire stadium. They are now trying to figure out how to lower these outrageous costs. How do you think you would feel if your design and architect team both messed up this bad with your money and funds?
The fact that many countries fight to host the Olympics is crazy to me. Although it bring some toursim, it costs so much money! Some of these countries don't have an abundance of money to be spending on nonessential spending.
Those designers and architects need to be careful. If they're in charge of such an important project, then they need to be careful with the expenses. It's a big deal if you're off by a couple billion dollars!!!
