An outbreak of polio in Syria represents a public health threat to Europe, experts have warned for the first time, as the World Health Organisation announced a huge vaccination program to stop the disease taking hold across the Middle East.

The intervention of a vaccination program is a good idea, hopefully they have the proper funding and enough time for this to work and be effective.

So many problems in the middle east, hopefully this will stop the outbreak before it gets any worse

I think it is good that Europe is making it a task to hopefully end or slow this polio outbreak with a mass vaccination programme since polio is such an easily infectious disease.
