Nearly 6.3 million Syrians have been displaced from their home country. While the refugees struggle to survive in other European countries, the remaining population struggles to put food on the table. Bread prices have risen nearly 500%, and a harsh winter is approaching. The UN is complaining about how the wealthy neighboring nations of Syria are not providing any money for UN relief efforts.
What do you think can be done to help the Syrian people and their country?
I read another article about how in Lebanon (where many of the Syrian refugees have gone) nearly 1 in every 4 people is a Syrian refugee. The people are living in little shacks and tents and desperately need help. If neighboring countries have any money to spare, they should really act on the moral obligation and help these people.
That is terrible, I think we should get as many countries as we can to pitch in a little bit of supplies to help out, not too much because the US has their own issues they need to take care of.
