THUGZ: North Korea launches missiles into sea

395848341_launch_i_said_lunch_answer_2_xlarge.jpeg

http://www.cnn.com/2014/02/27/world/asia/north-korea-missiles/

Four scud missiles have been launched from N. Korea. The Pentagon describes the missile launches a low-level matter, as the missiles were fired in the direction of Russia and fell into the sea. S. Korean Defense Ministry describes the launches to be threatening and a military provocation.

Do you think the US should monitor N. Korea's missile activities to prevent a nuclear war?

I think we should monitor them but not severely. This launch was a fluke so no real danger was made but we have to be careful because we never know what can happen.

I think the U.S should wait a while before monitoring another countries missile activity. If it gets worse and threats become more frequent, then it is necessary for the U.S to monitor the North Korean Missile activity.

I do think that the U.S. should keep eyes on North Korea and be responsive to their missile activities to prevent war. Pardoning North Korea threats and military provocation will further encourage North Korea as it did to Hitler in WWII, and it would be too late when North Korea actually launches missile as an act of war.

i personally believe we should just regulate a bit once it seems more threatful or let the UN step in and regulate

Eh, I really don't feel like this needs to be monitored by the U.S. It was just a missile launch into the water. Maybe the North Koreans have some beef with the Pacific Ocean? In all seriousness though, the countries that immediately surround North Korea will monitor them; I don't think the situation is dire enough as of yet to justify any sort of U.S intervention. North Korea is always making some bogus claims and committing various acts of intimidation, but us getting intimidated by them is exactly what they want. They want the world to fear them because they all know deep inside that they really don't pose a serious threat to the world. Maybe I'm wrong, and 5 years from now we'll be plunged into a nuclear war, but for the time being, I say with just sit back and relax and learn to laugh at the misfit that is North Korea.

I think that the US should be monitoring North Korea but not too closely unless the danger escalates further

I think we monitor them so much that we know when kim jung un poops, I think we are fine. Plus the people accually running that country aren't stupid, they know that they would lose miserably to the US in a war. They are just being showy

I think we should monitor them because if a war is started between the U.S. and North Korea we could lose trade relations with China, which could mess with our economy. I understand this wasn't a real threat, but if they have the technology they could use it against us. They would lose but i don't think Kim Jung Un is not thinking rationally.

I think we should monitor N. Korea's missile activity because Kim Jong Un is crazy and might start a nuclear war at any moments notice. He has already threatened to attack other countries and its better to be safe than sorry.

The United States must monitor North Korea's missile activity because they are so unpredictable and have no boundaries to what they will do if they think it is right!

i dont think we should watch North Korea's missile activity unless it becomes an actual threat because we have other more serious issues to deal with.

I think that America should not monitor the country and as a matter of fact, Americas presence on Korean soil is probably what provoked this action by North Korea. If you look at this from a North Korean perspective, the fact that there are US troops on foreign soil during peace time is provocative and implies very degrading messages to the North Korean people. Thus, I personally feel that if America wants to genuinely help South Korea, they should leave Korean Soil and definitely go away from the DMZ in order to prevent North Korea from being mad at the fact that Americans are constantly trying to "defend" the South. However, I do appreciate Americas intent but I feel that America should just move their soldiers to islands in the Far East such as Guam where they can help the South quickly if it is ever under attack but far enough so that North Korea is not provoked by foreign soldiers.

I believe that we should monitor North Korea's missiles along with many other country's missiles as well but to an extent.

Yeah the US should Monitor because you never know when something can go wrong. So far i think they are trying to get attention with the military exercises going on.

We should definitely watch the N. Korea, especially since they have been known for violence in the past AKA since the USSR manifested them as a communist state. And sure, right now they may just be"testing" these weapons. But people test things for a reason so we should keep that in mind.

Yes I think we should monitor N. Korea's missile activity. They are unpredictable and I think it wold be in our best interest to watch them. We never know what they are going to do so to some extent we should monitor it.
